What to use email for:
1. To get answers to general questions about the practice: what insurance do we take, which therapists have openings and the like.
2. When you and your therapists have agreed that there are documents that you want to send to your therapist and email is the most convenient way to do so. Please be sure to check with your therapist before you do this.
When not to use email:
1. To seek clinical advice.
2. In an emergency.
3. To schedule or reschedule an appointment.
Remember, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of our email. No one using the internet can assure you that emails are 100% private. Therefore, we strongly recommend against using email to communicate sensitive clinical information.
While we check our email regularly we do not use email to address clinical issues, and we cannot guarantee a quick response to email. Also, please keep in mind that there is one email address that is used by all Centers for Family Change therapists.
Email should not be used for scheduling purposes. Not all Centers for Family Change therapists check the email. To schedule or change appointments please call your therapist.
Email should never be used in emergency situations. While we try to check our email daily we cannot guarantee this. Please call us in emergency situations.
